By Trevor Rohm, MD CEO, International Information Management Association (IIMA)
For
nearly four decades, the International Information Management Association
(IIMA) has been about something larger than information technology. It has
been about people, ideas, relationships, discovery, and the bridges that
connect them.
Under the theme Rebuilding Bridges:
Sustainable Cyber-Physical Integration in the AI Era, we are moving beyond
technical specs to ask a vital question:
How do we bridge the gap between human values and artificial intelligence?
Haj’mo na kafu—let the aroma of Bosnian coffee and the spirit of Sarajevo guide us toward a more connected and sustainable world!
The International Information Management Association (IIMA) is proud to announce its 37th annual conference, taking place from September 6 to September 10, 2026. Hosted by the International Burch University in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the conference theme is “Rebuilding Bridges: Sustainable Cyber-Physical Integration in the AI Era”. This gathering invites scholars and practitioners to explore how technology can be developed ethically, equitably, and for the public good.
Dear Members of theInternational Information Management Association (IIMA),
I feel honoured to serve as your next President of the Association, following two years of exceptional leadership provided by Alison Munsch, Ph.D. I feel humbled to have been elected to lead the Association and guide it through the challenging times ahead.
