Bio: Eli Tarlow currently serves as Vice President & Chief Information Officer at Brookdale Hospital & University Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Eli is nationally recognized as a CIO & Healthcare I.T. leader and has dedicated his career to improving patient health & wellness via effective use of Information Technology. Prior to serving at Brookdale, Eli held CIO roles at Bellevue & Metropolitan Hospitals as well as senior leadership positions at Continuum Health Partners and New York Blood Center.
Eli is extremely passionate about the innovative use of information technology to increase patient care & experience and lower the costs of care. He is experienced in information technology leadership, strategic planning, design, deployment & operations and is a frequent speaker at national conferences on Health Information System leadership, strategy, innovation, analytics, standards and policy.
Eli volunteers his time as Board Chair or committee member to support several large healthcare related associations including Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) as a Fellow member, the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) as an International Ambassador, Iona College as advisory board member and with Health Connect Partners as Chair of their Education Advisory Board.
