Title: The Future of Machine Learning
Abstract: Companies today are recognizing the importance of artificial intelligence and machine learning. Establishing a data-driven company is essential in today’s AI world, but there is also a downside to the fast pace of innovation today. In this talk I will discuss this downside and how companies can set up ethical data-driven enterprises, enable more people in their organizations to perform AI tasks, and how humans and machines can work together for more innovation.
Bio: Sarah F. Hoffman is VP, AI and Machine Learning Research at Fidelity Investments, where she explores AI and Machine Learning trends that will impact Fidelity in the next 3-5 years. Sarah is also a Technology Advisor for ChalkSense, LLC’s RegulatoryGenie™ initiative. Sarah was nominated as a Rising Star for WatersTechnology’s Women in Technology and Data Awards in 2018. Sarah formerly worked at FactSet, where she headed FactSet’s Machine Learning and Language Technology Team. She also worked as an Information Technology Analyst at Lehman Brothers. Sarah holds an MS from Columbia University in Computer Science with a focus on Natural Language Processing. She also holds a BBA from Baruch College in Computer Information Systems
